The Da Vinci Code

In this class called Forbidden Books, the unit I studied is called Dogma. We learned about religions and how they are and what they do in the world. Dogma is a set of principles laid down by an authority as incontrovertibly true. One good thing about dogma is that people have a set of rules to follow. A bad thing about that is that someone people may not agree with what it says. For this AP, we had to find a movie, book or video that was banned for religious reasons. The book I choose was The Da Vinci Code. We had to make a power point about the banning, like when was it banned or how or even what group banned it. The thing that I had trouble with the most was finding what book to use my project on since there was and this are a lot of books that are banned and being banned now, I over came that by choosing a book I have already read. The thing I have to most fun at was making the whole project and rereading the book again. Overall, I thought that this was a fun project to make and I hope you enjoy my project that I did.

The Man Who Saved Central City And Who Killed Osama Bin Laden.

In the last unit for HUMANITIES in the class called Stories, we are learning about world heroes. We had to see what different kinds of heroes there are and how they act. For this Action Project we had to work with a partner and find and fictional hero and nonfictional hero. My Partner was VD who selected a fictional hero. I was challenged to select a nonfictional hero and that selection was the most difficult part of this project. I overcame that by choosing the man who killed Osama Bin Laden because I decided he was an important hero. I had most fun was finding everything I needed for my project.

The two heroes we chose were Robert J. O’Neill, the Navy Seal who shot Osama Bin Laden, and Oliver Queen, the lead character in the TV program “Arrow.” We chose Robert O’Neill because he was brave and self-sacrificing when he went on his almost impossible mission. He is a hero to many people because he killed a person who was a great threat. He wanted to serve his country and make the world a better place. We chose Oliver Queen because he is down to earth. He is a good man. He wants to save people and protect his city. He wants to do right by his father. Both of them are good at what they do. They both train hard to become the best.

It may not seem like Robert J. O’Neill and Oliver Queen are very alike, but they have many things in common.   For one, they are fighting and killing for a very good cause. They are protecting a place they call home. Robert J. O’Neill was protecting the United States on his journey, and Oliver Queen was protecting Starling City. In addition, both men are constantly risking their lives on their journeys, in an effort to save the lives of innocent civilians. They are both humble about their work, and they don’t like to show off. They are both very selfless men who make the world a safer place.

OIL NONRENEWABLE

This is my first Action Project for my third term course, Fuel. In this course we will be studying chemicals, periodic table, and other math and science topics. For this Action Project we had to choose a nonrenewable resource so I chose Oil. We had to research its chemical formula and an element in it that is on the periodic table. I chose my element to be Hydrogen. We also had to make an equation for the graph we made. At the end we had to explain this project and write a prediction for the end of 2016. The thing that I am most proud of was making the slide show and finding the data. Something that was hard for me was making the graph. Please learn more about the project down below.

I also learned that a one dollar bill last up to 18 months. We had to make a power point that showed the process of making them, and destroying of it. The thing that I am most proud of was making the PowerPoint and finding the research. Something that was hard for me was looking to see what happens to it after it gets destroyed. Please learn more about the chess project down below.

For this Action Project I chose my plant to be a Giant Dioon and the problem that I wanted it to solve was to create warmth and cold without using energy. We had to make a power point that showed the plant's name, its characteristics, and a design that I made. The thing that I did really well was making the power point and finding the research. Something that was for me was looking for a picture of the plant and drawing it. I am proud of how my power point turned out. Please learn more about the plant I chose and my design down below.

TWO LETTERS

This is my first Action Project for my elective course, Rapid Prototyping. In this course we will be studying electronic machines. For this Action Project I chose to do by hand first since it would be the hardest. My two letters are a and F. We had to make a power point that showed the what letters we did how we did it and compare both of them. The thing that I did really well was making the power point and finding the research. Something that was for me was spray painting the a because it was windy out side. I am proud of how my power point turned out. Please learn more about the plant I chose and my design down below.
